About Abali

Abali Ski Resort is Iran's oldest ski resort, established in 1953 and home to the country's first mechanical ski lifts. Located 57 km northeast of Tehran in the Alborz Mountains, the resort sits at 2,800m altitude with a vertical drop of 250m down to 2,400m. It features a gondola, 8 surface lifts, 6 restaurants, an on-site hotel, ski school, and parking for 1,000 cars.

The ski season runs from December to March. Activities include downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, ski mountaineering, off-piste skiing, and snowboarding. Ideal for beginners and families, with gentle slopes and a welcoming atmosphere.
